Common use of Days and Time Limits Clause in Contracts

Days and Time Limits. Reference to days regarding time periods shall refer to business days. In computing any period of time prescribed or allowed by the procedures herein, the date of the act, event or default for which the designated period of time begins to run shall not be included. The last day of the period so computed shall be counted unless it is a Saturday, a Sunday or a legal holiday in which event the period runs until the end of the next day which is not a Saturday, a Sunday or a legal holiday. Any notice or document required by this procedure may be submitted to the designated party by mail or in person. If mailed, it shall be timely if it bears a postmark of the United States mail within the time period.
