Deactivation. A very important step of the Positive Discipline System which recognizes improved performance is the deactivation process. If an employee has maintained fully satisfactory performance during the active period of a disciplinary action and the employee’s attendance, conduct, and/or performance improves, it is imperative that the PSM or designee acknowledge the improvement.
