DEFINITION AND ACCRUAL. ‌ Seniority shall be defined as the worker's length of continuous service with the Employer in the bargaining unit and/or in the facility in which they work, including continuous service at another Prestige managed facility, commencing with the date and hour on which the worker first began work in a bargaining unit position. Seniority shall not accrue to probationary employees during the probationary period. However, at the successful completion of the probationary period, the worker's seniority shall be retroactive to their first day of work in the bargaining unit position, and shall accrue during his/her continuous employment with the Employer within the bargaining unit covered by this Agreement. Seniority shall accrue and not be lost during a worker's paid time off (PTO), and during any paid leave of absence. A worker shall not accrue seniority while on Layoff or on an unpaid leave of absence, in excess of twelve
