DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING. A. Bare-Rooted Plants B. Balled and Burlapped Plants (B&B) 1. Burlap shall be a natural biodegradable material. Do not use synthetic burlap. 2. Replace plants rejected because of broken or loose balls, or balls of less diameter than that specified. 3. Protect the roots of balled and burlapped plants from moisture loss, unless they are planted immediately after they are delivered. 4. Plants shall be harvested with the ball of earth in which they are growing intact.
