Common use of Dental Plans Clause in Contracts

Dental Plans. A. The dental plans offered shall be those approved by the City's Joint Labor-Management Committee and administered by the Personnel Department in accordance with Los Angeles Administrative Code Section 4.303. B. Management will expend for full-time employees in the classifications listed in this Unit, who are members of LACERS, the monthly sum necessary to cover the cost of employee only coverage under the City-sponsored Dental Plan Program. Coverage for dependents of eligible employees may be obtained in a City-sponsored plan at the employee's expense, provided that such sufficient enrollment is maintained to continue to make such coverage available. C. For each half-time employee, as defined by Section 4.110 of the LAAC, who becomes a member of LACERS and for each employee who transfers from full-time to half-time status following July 1, 1990, Management will expend an amount equivalent to one-half of the cost of the employee only coverage of the most expensive plan under the City-sponsored Dental Program. Half-time employees who, prior to July 1, 1990, were receiving the full employee only subsidy shall continue to receive the full employee only subsidy. D.
