Common use of Designation of Representatives Clause in Contracts

Designation of Representatives. Designate in writing to the Project Team those representatives who are authorized to act on the Contractor’s behalf with respect to the Project. Such written designations shall include the limitations of each representative’s authority. Without limiting the foregoing, Contractor shall designate in writing (see Paragraph 18.4.3) a representative who is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Work and who will be the Owner’s primary contact during construction and shall be available as required for the benefit of the Project and the Owner. The designated representative shall be authorized to act on behalf of and bind the Contractor in all matters related to the Contract including, but not limited to, execution of Change Orders and submission of Applications for Payment.
