Common use of Development Officer Clause in Contracts

Development Officer. The Development Officer will work closely with the Director of Development to determine and implement the strategic direction of the development program consistent with LSNYC’s mission and development plan. Responsibilities include some or all of the following: 1. Oversee and participate in all aspects of fundraising. 2. Analyze funding streams and engage in strategic planning. 3. Manage LSNYC’s fundraising, cultivation, and stewardship events. 4. Maintain LSNYC’s donor database and insure effective use of reports and database structure to track and measure fundraising, events, and donor prospecting activity. 5. Manage and implement LSNYC’s individual donor appeals. 6. Create and disseminate periodic updates to keep donors informed of LSNYC’s work. This includes the donor e-newsletter and production of the annual report. 7. Establish and nurture relationships with donors and prospective donors, including with contacts at law firms, corporations, and foundations. 8. Work with the development team on strategic communications to further fundraising, including marketing materials, web site design, and donor communications. 9. Perform other development-related duties as directed.
