Diabetic Education Clause Samples

The 'Diabetic education' clause establishes the requirement for providing educational resources and support to individuals diagnosed with diabetes. Typically, this clause outlines the responsibility of healthcare providers or organizations to offer information sessions, training on blood sugar monitoring, dietary guidance, and instruction on medication management. Its core practical function is to ensure that patients receive the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage their condition, thereby improving health outcomes and reducing the risk of complications associated with diabetes.
Diabetic Education. Benefits for a covered diabetic education service will be subject to the same payment provisions as an office visit.
Diabetic Education. When the attending physician certifies that the patient requires diabetes education as an outpatient, benefits will be provided for the following services when rendered by an approved outpatient diabetes education program:  Up to a maximum of four outpatient visits during a calendar year for initial assessment and education. The initial four visits will be provided only once during the patient's lifetime.  After completion of the initial visits and review of areas in which competency was not achieved, benefits for post-assessment of the patient‟s competency will be limited to two outpatient visits within the calendar year in which the initial visits were completed.  Subsequent outpatient visits for follow-up education and to refresh existing knowledge as well as present techniques which are appropriate for management of the diabetes condition will be limited to two per calendar year.

  • Special Education Special education services, related services, and accommodations for students who are eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any applicable provisions of state law, shall be provided in accordance with applicable state and federal law, this Agreement and Authorizer rules and policies. The Authorizer is the LEA for purposes of ensuring compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and all other federal and state laws and regulations concerning accommodation of and education of students with disabilities.

  • General Education University Program Requirements All MTA applicable courses require a grade “C” or higher

  • Continuing Education The Hospital and the Union recognize that continuing education is important for all employees and that they have shared interests and responsibilities in ensuring equitable access to it.

  • Union Education If the local union indicates to the Hospital that its members have approved a special assessment for union education in accordance with the CUPE constitution and local union by laws, the Hospital agrees to deduct this assessment. Such assessment will be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established and administered by OCHU/CUPE for this purpose.

  • HOME EDUCATION 1. Educational services that may be required for home education students as defined in School Act, Part II, Div. 4, Sec. 12 & 13 and School Act Regulations, Sec. (3), shall be provided by bargaining unit members. 2. Classroom teachers shall not, however, be required to prepare educational resource materials or exams, or to assess or prepare reports on home education students, unless such duties are assigned as part of that teacher's regular assignment.
