DISABLED VETERANS PARTICIPATION GOALS. (Applies to K-12 districts only.) In accordance with Education Code §17076.11, this District has a participation goal for disabled veteran business enterprises (“DVBE”) of at least 3 percent (3%) per year of the overall dollar amount of funds allocated to the District by the State Allocation Board pursuant to the Xxxxx X. Xxxxxx School Facilities Act of 1998 for construction or modernization and expended each year by the District. Prior to, and as a condition precedent for final payment under any contract for such project, the Contractor shall provide appropriate documentation to the District identifying the amount paid to DBVE in conjunction with the Contract, so that the District can assess its success at meeting this goal.

Upon completion of an awarded contract in which a commitment to achieve a DVBE goal was made, the prime contractor that entered into a subcontract with a DVBE is required to complete and submit form STD. 817 within 60 days to certify payment information to the awarding department, in accordance with Military and Veterans Code (M&VC) Section 999.5.

  • Employee Participation The Employer will assist employees' participation in health promotion and health education programs. Health promotion and health education programs that have been endorsed by the Employer (Minnesota Management & Budget) will be considered to be non-assigned job-related training pursuant to Administrative Procedure 21. Approval for this training is at the discretion of the Appointing Authority and is contingent upon meeting staffing needs in the employee's absence and the availability of funds. Employees are eligible for release time, tuition reimbursement, or a pro rata combination of both. Employees may be reimbursed for up to one hundred (100) percent of tuition or registration costs upon successful completion of the program. Employees may be granted release time, including the travel time, in lieu of reimbursement.
