Disciplinary Demotion. In the event of a disciplinary demotion, which is subject to the disciplinary appeal procedure, the employee shall be placed on the salary step in the next subordinate pay range which is at least one step less than the dollar amount received in the pay range held at the time of the demotion. The employee’s original anniversary date in the lower rank shall be reinstated.
