Discipline, Other than Discharge. 1. Disciplinary action, other than discharge, may be imposed upon any employee for just cause. However, disciplinary action, other than discharge, may be imposed upon any employee as a consequence of the employee’s conduct during the first six (6) months of employment in the District without application of the just cause test and without appeal by the employee to the grievance procedure. 2. If the Board has reason to reprimand an employee, it shall be done privately and fairly. 3. Where legally and contractually permissible, disciplinary action, other than discharge, may be processed as a grievance through the procedure identified in this Agreement.
