Dismissal (Termination Other Than Non-Renewal. 1. Dismissal of a probationary faculty member shall be on thirty (30) days notice or pay in lieu thereof. Dismissal of a temporary and/or adjunct faculty member shall be on five (5) days notice or pay in lieu thereof. Dismissal during the last (fifth) probationary year shall be subject to the grievance procedure herein provided. 2. Dismissal of a tenured faculty member shall also be on thirty (30) days advance notice or pay in lieu thereof. Such action shall, however, be subject to review under the grievance procedure and a grievance may be initiated by a faculty member so affected at stage 2. The salary of a tenured faculty member affected by dismissal shall continue for the then existing contract year or until such time as the grievance procedure is abandoned by the faculty member or is exhausted, in which latter event it shall be subject to the arbitrator's award unless, in either event, the faculty member, the Association (if the representative of the faculty member in the grievance proceeding), and the College shall otherwise agree in writing.
