Class Cancellations. 9.2.1 At the discretion of the Xxxx any section of a course may be canceled prior to the beginning of Registration.
9.2.2 Any section of a course may be canceled at the discretion of the Xxxx in consultation with the Vice President of Academic Affairs until the last day of the add period. Whenever feasible, the Xxxx and the Department Chair will consult on the cancellation prior to making a final decision. A single-section class reaching fifty-five percent (55%) of the agreed upon maximum for that class shall not be cancelled. At the Xxxx’x discretion, a single- section class with less than fifty-five percent (55%) may remain open.
9.2.3 No classes shall be cancelled by the District after the end of the add period.
9.2.4 Extension and late starting classes may be cancelled at the end of the Registration period for that class.
9.2.5 Regional Occupational Program (R.O.P.) classes offered by the District shall be exempt from this section of the Agreement and may be cancelled subject to the rules and regulations of the San Diego County Department of Education.
9.2.6 The District shall have the right to reassign Unit Members to other courses in order to maintain the Members' full teaching load.
Class Cancellations. If a class is cancelled, a text message will be sent to the Student’s cell phone as soon as possible. The student will receive an appointment to reschedule any cancelled classes.
Class Cancellations. Cancellation of classes during the school year will not cause the reassignment of senior teachers to classes assigned to junior teachers.
Class Cancellations. In the event that day and/or evening classes are cancelled because of inclement weather or other emergency, faculty members will not be required to report to campus for the period of time covered by the day and/or evening class cancellation.
Class Cancellations. 8.3.1 The minimum class size is 15 enrolled by the first day of class and 20 enrolled by the end of the week 2 and an ongoing minimum of 15 students attending on a weekly basis; if enrollment drops below 15 for more than three (3) weeks in a row, the class will be cancelled;
8.3.2 It is the instructor’s responsibility to cancel classes that don’t meet the minimum enrollment or attendance;
8.3.3 The District retains the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment once the enrollment is processed;
8.3.4 If a class is cancelled, instructors will be paid for all class meetings held.
Class Cancellations. In the event day classes are canceled because of inclement weather or other emergency, Department Chairpersons will not be required to report to campus. Evening class cancellations shall be separately determined.
Class Cancellations. If a scheduled class is cancelled for the semester, the musician scheduled for the class shall receive two weeks normal pay as a cancellation fee. Such musicians also shall have the right to refuse other classes to which they have already committed. If a scheduled class during summer session is cancelled, the musician scheduled for the class shall receive 15% of the total session normal pay as a cancellation fee.

Class Cancellations. In order to meet accreditation standards, adjunct faculty members shall not cancel scheduled classes in any circumstances without prior written supervisor approval. For attendance that is approved in advance by the program or department chair, instructors should find an acceptable substitute for their classes or obtain the chair’s approval for an alternate means of making up the class hours. For unanticipated absences such as illness or family emergency, instructors must notify the supervisor as soon as possible so that arrangements can be made regarding classes and other scheduled activities. Adjunct faculty members shall obtain the chair’s approval for an alternate means of making up the student contact hours. Failure to notify the supervisor of a missed class meeting or excessive absences from class obligations may result in disciplinary action.
Class Cancellations. 1. The District's Colleges will organize classes in as efficient a manner as possible consistent with good instructional practices and the needs of students.
2. Classes that achieve an enrollment of at least 10 students will not be cancelled in the Fall 2021 semester. Classes with fewer than ten (10) students may be cancelled or merged with another section. However, in-person classes may not be canceled until July 30, 2021, and no classes will be canceled later than 10 calendar days prior to the start date of the class.
3. Classes whose cancellation are likely to disrupt students’ educational plans will be carefully reviewed with discipline faculty before cancellation, consistent with Board Policy 6.04. Such classes include sequential courses, single sections required for a major and similar courses necessary for students’ ability to complete their programs or majors within their current timeline.
