Displacement Rights After Indefinite Layoff. Employees with seniority who are indefinitely laid off shall be entitled to displace an employee with the least seniority in another job classification under the following conditions: (a) The laid off employee has greater seniority than the employee to be displaced. (b) The laid off employee presently has the necessary qualifications, skill, ability and experience to perform in an effective and efficient manner the work in the other job classification. (c) The laid off employee will be subject to the provisions of section 10.1 of the Master Agreement. (d) The laid off employee elects to exercise his displacement rights within five (5) working days of notification of his layoff. An employee displaced under this Section shall be laid off unless that employee is also entitled to exercise displacement rights under this Section. An employee exercising displacement rights under this Section retains the right of recall to his former classification.
