Distributing Available Work Assignments - Short-term Layoff. For short-term layoff the available work assignments shall be distributed to the most senior incumbents of the classification where operationally feasible provided that they are capable of performing the available job duties to ensure to the greatest extent possible that the layoff impacts the most junior employee(s).

For the purpose of this provision only, the term "classification" shall have a broad meaning to include all jobs which have the same professional base; example Practice Leader - Physiotherapy and Physiotherapist is one classification.
