Domain Names and Web Sites Sample Clauses

Domain Names and Web Sites. Just as there is a value in having a good business name and protecting it, there is also a value to a domain name for your internet website. Unless you have a business that is extremely localized (say a small quick stop), more businesses than not find that a web site presence is helpful. Even if you don’t actually sell anything on your site, it offers you an opportunity to talk about your company and its products and services in much greater detail. Your domain name should always be on your business card and other printed materials, so that your prospective customer can go in at any time of the day or night to look at your company information. Obviously, the most desirable name for your website is that of your company. It’s easy to remember Check to see whether your name is available by typing in the name you’d like. To register your name or search to see who already owns that name, there are several services that can help you with that such as xxxx://xxx.xxxxx.xxx, xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx, or xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx. and people intuitively type in the name with .com to see if they can find you. You’ll want to have an email address that uses your company’s domain name. Contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or the company that registered your domain name. It is just more professional to have your business domain name rather than an email address that is generic with xxx.xxx or xxxxxxxxx.xxx, or the domain of your local ISP. There is a cost for having the domain name with renewable periods. The longer the time you pay for, the more affordable it becomes, and if you are going to stay in business, you’ll want to keep that address. It becomes as good a contact information as your phone number.
