Common use of DURATION AND TERM OF AGREEMENT Clause in Contracts

DURATION AND TERM OF AGREEMENT. This Agreement shall be in full force and effect from the day it is signed by both parties through October 1, 2003 and thereafter from year to year unless either party gives written notice to the other of a desire to modify or terminate the Agreement at least sixty (60), but not more than ninety (90), calendar days prior to the expiration date. The parties shall then meet and negotiate at mutually acceptable times and places within the ninety- (90-) day period immediately preceding the termination of this Agreement, or earlier by mutual agreement. I authorize and direct you to deduct such amounts from my pay and to remit same to the Union on a monthly basis or at such times and in such manner as may otherwise be agreed upon between you and the Union at any time while this authorization is in effect. This assignment, authorization and direction shall be irrevocable for the period of one (1) year from the date appearing below or until the termination of the collective agreement between the Company and the Union which may be in force at the time of signing of this Authorization, whichever occurs sooner; and I agree and direct that this assignment, authorization and direction shall be automatically renewed, and shall be irrevocable for successive periods of one (1) year each or for the period of each succeeding applicable collective- bargaining agreement, between the Company and the Union, whichever shall be shorter, unless written notice is given by me to the Company and the Union within thirty (30) days prior to the expiration of each period of one (1) year, or of each applicable collective-bargaining agreement between the Company and the Union, whichever occurs sooner.

DURATION AND TERM OF AGREEMENT. This Agreement shall be effective as of the day after the contract is executed by both parties and shall remain in full force and effect from until 11:59 PM on the 30th day it is signed by both parties through October 1of June, 2003 and thereafter 2021. It shall be automatically renewed from year to year thereafter, unless either party gives written notice to shall notify the other of a desire to modify or terminate the Agreement in writing at least sixty (60), but not more than ninety (90), calendar ) days prior to the expiration anniversary date that it desires to modify this Agreement. In the event that such notice is given, negotiations shall begin no later than forty- five (45) days prior to the anniversary date.
