Common use of Duration of the Employment Clause in Contracts

Duration of the Employment. 4.1 The Employment pursuant to this Agreement shall commence on the Commencement Date and, subject to clauses 5.4 and 14, shall continue until terminated by either party giving to the other not less than twelve months’ notice in writing. 4.2 Notwithstanding clause 4.1 and any retirement date specified in any applicable pension scheme, the Employment shall automatically terminate when the Executive reaches the normal retiring age from time to time applicable to senior executives of the Company which, for the avoidance of doubt, is currently 65. 4.3 The Executive’s period of continuous employment commenced on 16 July 2007.
