Common use of Duration of the Order Clause in Contracts

Duration of the Order. You may make an oral stop payment order which will lapse in 14 calendar days unless confirmed in writing within that time. Stop payments that are confirmed in writing or through Online Banking are effective for six (6) months and may be renewed in writing, through Online Banking from time to time. Should the payment be presented during the six month period from the date of the call, we will return payment and the stop will no longer be valid.
