Early Dismissal. DTU representatives and/or elective officers shall be permitted to leave the work location at 4:15 p.m., if assigned to administrative buildings, and at the time students are dismissed, if assigned to a school center, in order to attend DTU meetings. Those leaving to attend such meetings must advise the administrator in charge reasonably in advance of such meetings.
Early Dismissal. All employees are required to work until their regular quitting times. Bus drivers will report early and will be compensated for their regular contracted time plus time and one-half for any additional time required to work due to calamity.

Twelve and ten-month office professionals and twelve- month paraeducators are expected to remain on duty when there is an inclement weather related early dismissal; however, upon notification to the appropriate administrator, they shall be allowed to be absent without loss of pay and their absence shall be charged, as determined by the employee, to their compensatory time, urgent personal business time, or vacation time (12-month employees only) for absences related to the early dismissal. If an employee’s compensatory time, urgent personal business time, or vacation time is not sufficient to cover the inclement weather-related absence(s), then, the employee shall be unpaid for that time.
Early Dismissal. A student will not be dismissed from school during class hours without a request from his/her parent stating the reason for early dismissal. This request should be sent to the teacher and the school office. Early dismissals should be used for emergencies only. Parents are to meet the child in the school office and sign them out. Announcements will be made through School Messenger and over major media outlets in severe weather situations. When school is closed, all activities for that day are cancelled. Students are to arrive at school no sooner than 7:50am. No supervision is available, so please time your child’s arrival accordingly. If a child arrives before 7:50 a.m. he/she will be sent to Before Care and billed accordingly. Students working with individual teachers should arrange with the teacher for entering the building and time of arrival. We ask your cooperation with our student safety patrol and ask that you inform your children these students are there to ensure their safety. Students will enter the building quietly.
