Common use of Early Return to Duty Clause in Contracts

Early Return to Duty. If the employee desires to return to active service prior to the stated date of the application for leave, the employee shall notify the Superintendent in writing that an early return to service is requested, and the date upon which the employee wishes to return. Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, the Board of Education may authorize the early return of such employee. If the early return is so authorized, the employee shall be assigned to the same or substantially equivalent position that he/she held on making application for Paternity Leave.
