Education Award. Upon successful completion of the Member’s term of service, a full-time member is eligible to receive an education award of $_______. The education award amount is based on previous terms of service as outlined by the Corporation for National and Community Service. Prorated benefits may be paid only if a participant is released for a compelling personal circumstance after serving no less than fifteen percent (15%) of the contracted time. The Member will receive a virtual voucher which may be used toward future educational costs or toward repayment of qualified student loans as defined by the Trust and/or the Corporation. A Member will have seven (7) years after the completion of service to use the education benefit. The education award is taxable in the year that it is used. The member understands that his/her failure to disclose to the program any history of having been released for cause from an AmeriCorps program will render the member ineligible to receive the education award. Full-time members are eligible to receive health insurance coverage at no cost to the member. AmeriCorps requires all members to enroll in their health plan UNLESS proof of other coverage is submitted. If a member elects not to enroll in the XYZ AmeriCorps healthcare plan they must verify that they are covered by a Minimum Essential Coverage compliant healthcare policy. If a member elects not to participate in the XYZ AmeriCorps healthcare plan and loses their coverage during their term of service through no fault of their own they are eligible to participate in the XYZ AmeriCorps healthcare plan. The member must notify the program if their eligibility status for healthcare care insurance changes during their term of service.
Education Award. For as long as the benefit is provided generally to other employees of The Paradies Shops, Employees shall be entitled to participate in the Education Award benefit as it is described, and subject to all terms and conditions contained, in the then-current First Class Associate Handbook as amended.
Education Award. Upon successful completion of the member’s term of service, the member will receive an education award in voucher form having a gross value of $6,195 for full-time members or $$3,097.50 for half-time members, or $1,638.89 for quarter-time members, if they have not received the aggregated value of two (2) full-time education awards previously. Any member who has previously received the value of two (2) full time previous education awards from the National Service Trust will not be eligible for additional education awards under any circumstances. The member understands that this award counts as taxable income in the year in which it is used. Prior to using the education award, the member agrees that in the event that they have not yet received a high school diploma or its equivalent, including an alternative diploma or certificate for individuals with learning disabilities, then they must obtain a high school diploma or its equivalent (unless the member is enrolled in an institution of higher education on an ability to benefit basis or the Program has waived the requirement due to the results of the member’s education assessment). The member further agrees to provide the National Service Trust with documentation of successful completion of their GED so as to be able to access the education award. The member understands that failure to disclose to the Program any history of having already served in previous terms as an AmeriCorps member (of any type) or of having been released for cause from another AmeriCorps Program will render the member ineligible to receive the education award. Members understand that if they are at least 55 years old when they start service and they meet all AmeriCorps requirements, then they may be eligible to transfer all or part of the education award to a child, grandchild, xxxxxx child, or xxxxxx grandchild.

Education Award. Upon successful completion of the MTCC member's term of service, the MTCC member will receive an education award from the National Service Trust. Full-time (1700 hour) MTCC members will receive a $5,920 education award. Education awards can be used to repay qualified student loans, to pay the cost of attending qualified institutions of higher education (including certain vocational programs), or for members 55 and older at the commencement of their term of service, they may transfer their education award to a child, grandchild, or xxxxxx child in accordance with the guidelines of CNCS. Please review the Educational Award Tutorial on the MTCC program website for how to use your educational award. The education award is valid for seven years after the date the MTCC member completed the Program. The education award is taxable at the time it is used. In addition:
Education Award. Upon successful completion of the Member’s term of service, provided the Member has completed Exit tasks and paperwork, the Member will receive an Education Award from the National Service Trust in the amount of $1,289 (300 hours), $1,612 (450 hours) OR $4,266 (1200 hours) service term. The Education Award can be used toward: • The cost of attending a Title IV institution of higher education. • The balance on an existing federally insured student loan. • The cost of attending a qualified vocational school. • The cost of participating in an approved school-to-work program. The Member must use the Education Award within seven years of the completion of the AmeriCorps service. The Member may apply to the National Service Trust for an extension if, during the seven-year period, the Member performs another term of service of an approved AmeriCorps position or was unavoidably prevented from using the award. • Education Awards are subject to income taxes in the year in which they are used. • The Member understands that his/her failure to disclose to the program any history of having been released for cause from another AmeriCorps program will render him/her ineligible to receive the education award. • Prior to using the Education Award, the Member must (if he/she has not already done so) obtain a high school diploma or its equivalent. This requirement may be waived if the Member is enrolled in an institution of higher education on an ability to benefit basis or if the program waives the requirement due to the result of the Member’s education assessment. • The Member may be eligible for a prorated Education Award if the Member is released due to compelling personal circumstances and has completed at least 15% of their total hours of service. If the Member is released without a compelling reason, the Member will receive no portion of the Education Award. • A Member may only earn an equivalent of two full-time education awards in • The Education Award is transferable under the following conditions: o The Member must have been at least 55 years of age in an AmeriCorps State or National Program when he or she began the term of service. o The recipient of the award has to be the transferring individual’s child, stepchild, xxxxxx child, grandchild, or step-grandchild. o A transferred award must be used within ten years of the date it was earned.
Education Award. Upon successful completion of the Member’s term of service, the Member may be eligible to receive an Education Award from the National Service Trust. For successful completion of a term of service, the maximum amount of Education Award the Member may be eligible to receive is listed in the position details at the beginning of this agreement. A Member is only eligible to receive up to a total value of two full-time education awards through service with AmeriCorps. If the Member has not yet received a high school diploma or its equivalent (including an alternative diploma or certificate for individuals with learning disabilities), the Member agrees to obtain a high school diploma or its equivalent before using the education award. This requirement can be waived if the Member is enrolled in an institution of higher education on an ability to benefit basis or the Program has waived this requirement due to the results of the Member’s education assessment. The Member understands that their failure to disclose to the Program any history of having been released for cause from another AmeriCorps program will render them ineligible to receive the education award. If the Member has received forbearance on a qualified student loan during the term of service, the National Service Trust will repay up to 100% of the interest that accrued on the loan during the term of service. The member may need to choose this option prior to using their education award for full benefit.
Education Award. Upon successful completion of the full term of service, the Member will receive an Education Award in the amount of $6,095 (pre-tax) from the National Service Trust. The following conditions also apply:
a. Prior to using the Education Award, the Member agrees (if the Member has not yet received a high school diploma or its equivalent including an alternative diploma or certificate for individuals with learning disabilities) to obtain a high school diploma or its equivalent. This requirement can be waived if the Member is enrolled in an institution of higher education on an ability to benefit basis or the program has waived this requirement due to the results of the Member’s education assessment.
b. The Member must use the Education Award within seven (7) years after the completion of the term of service.
c. The Member understands that their failure to disclose to the program any history of having been released for cause from another AmeriCorps program will render them ineligible to receive the education award.
Education Award. Upon successful completion of the member’s term of service, the member will receive an Education Award from the National Service Trust in the amount of $1,175 for 300 hours of service.

Prior to using the Education Award, the member agrees (in the event the member has not yet received a high school diploma or its equivalent including an alternative diploma or certificate for individuals with learning disabilities) to obtain a high school diploma or its equivalent (unless the member is enrolled in an institution of higher education on an ability to benefit basis or the program has waived this requirement due to the results of the member’s education assessment).
2. The member understands that his/her failure to disclose to the program any history of having been released for cause from another AmeriCorps program will render the member ineligible to receive the Education Award.
3. The member understands that the Education Award does not have the flexibility of a traditional scholarship – that it is a voucher that can only be used to repay federal student loans or pay for the cost of attendance at a qualified institution, as outlined in the member agreement.
