EFFECTIVE PERIOD AND RENEWAL. L4.1 This Agreement shall be effective from September 1, 2014 to August 31, 2017 and shall continue in full force up to and including August 31, 2017, and shall continue automatically thereafter for annual periods of one (1) year unless either Party notifies the other, in writing, within ninety (90) calendar days prior to the expiration date that it desires to negotiate with a view to renewal, with or without modification, of this Agreement. If notice is given, the Parties shall meet within fifteen (15) calendar days from giving of notice. L4.2 The Bargaining Unit and the Board agree that there will be no strikes or lockouts during the term of this Agreement. Notwithstanding the foregoing, ECEs may strike and the Board may lockout ECEs in accordance with the provisions of the Labour Relations Act. L4.3 It is understood and agreed that, in event that a new Agreement has not been reached by the date of expiry of this Agreement all the terms and provisions of this Agreement shall continue in force and effect until such time as it is superseded by a new Agreement, except as may be otherwise provided for in the Labour Relations Act.
