EI Supplement. Upon the birth or adoption of a child to an Employee or to an Employee's spouse or spouse equivalent, the Employee is entitled to the equivalent of up to twenty-eight (28) weeks' pay or equivalent provision in compliance with the requirements of the Supplemental Unemployment Benefit Insurance Plan, which will be apportioned over all or part of the period which the Employee is actually off work pursuant to Article 28. This provision may be used to supplement El adoption, maternity or parental benefits in accordance with the Employment Insurance Act.
