Elementary and Middle School Resource Specialists. Elementary and middle school Resource Specialists shall provide special education services to students four days per week. Elementary and middle school Resource Specialists shall not be required to provide direct special education services to students one day per week so that one day per week can be dedicated to completing assessments of students and paperwork related to the duties of the Resource Specialist. The Principal and Resource Specialist shall jointly develop a schedule to determine which day shall be used to complete student assessments and other paperwork related to the duties of the Resource Specialist. If a unit member determines a distribution of this day into multiple days is more effective, this Article can be adjusted to meet the needs of unit members with mutual consent of the unit member and site administrator. Any agreement will be reduced to writing.
