Pupil Transportation. No bargaining unit member shall be required to transport pupils in private vehicles. No bargaining unit member shall be required to transport pupils in a vehicle owned by the District.
Pupil Transportation. No classroom unit member may be required to transport students in a privately-owned vehicle. Any activity to which a unit member transports students in the unit member's private automobile must be approved by the principal. The District's general liability insurance shall cover the employee while acting within the scope of his/her employment including the transportation of students. The limit of the District's liability when an employee uses his/her own car shall be as follows:
11.11.1. The District's insurance coverage shall take effect only after the owner's insurance company, as the prime carrier, has paid.
11.11.2. If the unit member is driving his/her car and is found negligent in the event of an accident with injury, district insurance shall cover the medical expenses for the occupants of the owner's automobile; however, there is no district coverage for physical damage to the owner's automobile. Therefore, unit members who transport students should carry appropriate automobile insurance coverage.
Pupil Transportation. An employee transporting students, with the advance approval of principal or immediate supervisor, shall be compensated at the non-taxable mileage rate allowable under IRS rules for use of their own automobile while on school business.
Pupil Transportation. A. Bus Driver Bidding Seniority — There is one classification for bus drivers (eight- hour bus drivers and five-hour bus drivers are not separate classifications). For bidding purposes, eight-hour bus drivers and five-hour bus drivers shall bid at the same time for available routes (with eight-hour drivers bidding only pm eight-hour routes and five-hour drivers bidding only on five-hour routes) per this Section.
Pupil Transportation. 21.01 In instances where a teacher is required to maintain a current class of driver’s license, or to obtain a driver’s license of a different class from that which he/ she currently holds, then the Board shall:
(a) pay the costs of medical and eye examinations, that are required for that particular license; and
(b) provide release time for the teacher’s driving test whenever a test is necessary and must be scheduled during the school day.
Pupil Transportation. Unit members shall not be required to drive students to activities which take place away from the school building. A member may do so voluntarily, however, with advance approval of the principal or immediate supervisor. The unit member shall be compensated at the agreed-upon rate for personal automobile use. Unit members using their automobiles while engaged in district business, including transporting of students, shall be covered under the district’s automobile liability and property damage insurance. The district’s insurance will be in effect above and beyond the minimum required statutory limits for automobile liability carried by members.
Pupil Transportation. 11.4.1 No bargaining unit member shall be required to transport pupils in their privately-owned vehicles except in the case of an emergency.
11.4.2 Unit members who transport students in District vehicles, within the course and scope of their employment, shall be primarily covered by District vehicle insurance.
Pupil Transportation. No APA/Clerk shall be responsible for transporting children to and from school.
Pupil Transportation. The Charter School shall be responsible for any transportation offered to students who enroll in the Charter School.
Pupil Transportation. Members shall not be required to use their personal vehicles or any other private vehicle for the transportation of students.
