Common use of Emergency Operation Clause in Contracts

Emergency Operation. The Contractor shall promptly notify the proper utility representative of any trouble endangering the service, or of any automatic operation of the main circuit breaker or any main protective device at the City's installation. The equipment on the City's premises causing the operation shall not be re-energized until it is isolated, repaired or replaced and until permission for re-energizing such equipment has been obtained from the utility. If service from a utility feeder is interrupted, no switching shall be done. The Contractor shall contact the proper utility representative who will arrange for the necessary switching.
