EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE. 38.01 The Parties hereby agree as follows: (a) The Parties to this Collective Agreement agree to the desirability of an Employee-Management Advisory Committee (EMAC) or the equivalent for promoting harmonious relationships between the Employees, the Union and the Employer. A request by either Party to establish a Site committee shall not be unreasonably denied. (b) It is recognized that the purpose of the EMAC is to promote joint problem solving and deal with matter of mutual concern which may arise from time to time. (c) EMAC shall not have jurisdiction over any matter contained in the Collective Agreement including its administration or negotiation. EMAC will not supercede the activities of any committee of the Employer. (d) The Union shall provide the names of up to four (4) representatives and the Employer shall provide the names of up to four (4) representatives to sit on the Employee-Management Advisory Committee. (e) An Employee shall be paid their Basic Rate of Pay for the time in attendance at these committee meetings. (f) An Employee shall, where applicable, be entitled to claim travel expenses in accordance with Article 24:
