Common use of Employees may be non Clause in Contracts

Employees may be non. competitively detailed by the supervisor to a position within the unit classified at a higher grade for up to thirty (30) days without an increase in pay. For details longer than thirty (30) days, if qualified, the employee shall be temporarily promoted to the higher graded position for the period of the assignment not to exceed one hundred-twenty (120) days. The period of assignment means from the first day employee is assigned by the supervisor. The one hundred-twenty (120) day limit is not extended based on actual processing of the personnel action. Retroactive processing of the official personnel action may be required when directed by a third party.
