Employees Seeking a Change in Position. Employees who have completed a probationary period in any position shall not be required to serve a new probationary period when transferring to the same job classification/specification in the same department, if an employee transfers to the same job classification in a different department the employee shall only be required to serve a probationary period of up to three (3) months. A Contingent II employee who is appointed as a regular employee without a break in service to the same position held during the Contingent II appointment will have the time spent as a Contingent II employee apply towards the completion of the probationary period.
