Common use of Enforcement of Payment Clause in Contracts

Enforcement of Payment. Any employee who is not a member of the Association in good standing or who does not make application for membership within thirty (30) days from the first day of active employment shall, as a condition of employment, pay a service fee to the Association; provided, however, that the employee may authorize payroll deduction for such fee in the same manner as provided above. In the event that an employee shall not pay such service fee directly to the local Association or authorize payment through payroll deduction, as provided in the preceding article, the Board shall, at the request of the Association, deduct the service fee from the employee’s wages and remit same to the Association.
