Common use of Entrance Facilities Clause in Contracts

Entrance Facilities. Satcom may elect to place Satcom-owned entrance facilities into the Collocation Space. BellSouth will designate the point of interconnection in proximity to the central office building housing the Collocation Space, such as an entrance manhole or a cable vault. Satcom will provide and place cable at the point of interconnection of sufficient length to be pulled through conduit and into the splice location. No splicing will be permitted in the entrance manhole. Satcom will provide a sufficient length of fire retardant riser cable, to which the entrance cable will be spliced, which will extend from the splice location to the Satcom’s equipment in the Collocation Space. Satcom must contact BellSouth for instructions prior to placing the entrance facility cable in the manhole. Satcom is responsible for maintenance of the entrance facilities. Dual entrance will be permitted where capacity exists. The interconnection point for entrance facilities extending from a rooftop antenna will be designated by BellSouth on the Application/Inquiry response.
