Common use of Environmental Releases Clause in Contracts

Environmental Releases. Each Interconnected Entity shall notify the other Interconnection Parties, first orally and promptly thereafter in writing, of the release of any Hazardous Substances, any asbestos or lead abatement activities, or any type of remediation activities, related to the Customer Facility or the Interconnection Facilities, any of which may reasonably be expected to affect one or both of the other parties. The notifying party shall (i) provide the notice as soon as possible; (ii) make a good faith effort to provide the notice within twenty-four (24) hours after the party becomes aware of the occurrence; and (iii) promptly furnish to the other parties copies of any publicly available reports filed with any governmental agencies addressing such events.
