Equipment and Other Capital Expenditures. Capital expenditures for equipment and other capital assets are unallowable except when specifically provided for within a grant or by Department approval. Items of equipment with an acquisition cost of less than $8,000.00 are considered to be supplies and are allowable as direct costs of the grant without specific approval. As used in this section, the following terms have the meanings set forth below:

Equipment and Other Capital Expenditures. Capital expenditures for equipment and other capital assets are unallowable except when specifically provided for within a grant or by Department approval. Items of equipment with an acquisition cost of less than five thousand dollars ($5,000) are considered to be supplies and are allowable as direct costs of the grant without specific approval. As used in this section, the following terms have the meanings set forth below: a. Capital Expenditure means the cost of the asset, including the cost to put it in place. Capital expenditure for equipment means the net invoice price of the equipment, including the cost of any modifications, attachments, accessories, or auxiliary apparatus necessary to make it usable for the purpose for which it is acquired. Ancillary charges such as taxes, duty, protective in-transit insurance, freight, and installation may be included in, or excluded from, capital expenditure costs in accordance with Grantee’s regular accounting practices. b. Equipment means an article of nonexpendable, tangible personal property having a useful life of more than one year and an acquisition cost that equals the lesser of the capitalization level established by Grantee for financial statement purposes or five thousand dollars ($5,000). c. Other Capital Assets means buildings, land, and improvements to buildings or land that materially increase their value or useful life.

  • Capital Expenditures The Issuer shall not make any expenditure (by long-term or operating lease or otherwise) for capital assets (either realty or personalty).

  • FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT AND OTHER MATERIALS Except as otherwise specifically provided in this Agreement, CONTRACTOR shall, at its sole cost and expense, furnish all facilities, equipment, and other materials which may be required for performing services pursuant to this Agreement. At COUNTY’s discretion, COUNTY may make equipment or facilities available to CONTRACTOR for CONTRACTOR’s use in furtherance of this Agreement only where a COUNTY Facility or Equipment exhibit is attached to this Agreement identifying the equipment or facilities to be used by CONTRACTOR’s personnel. If COUNTY funds equipment as part of this contract, COUNTY will retain Equipment.
