Transit Insurance. With respect to any Delivery made pursuant to Section 5.2 only, the Seller shall provide insurance covering all risks of loss to any Major Components, Equipment or Units during loading and during transit by air, sea or otherwise from the place of manufacture until Delivery to the relevant Site with sublimits sufficient to insure the full replacement value of such Major Component(s), Unit(s) or Equipment. With respect to any Delivery made pursuant to Section 5.3, the Seller shall not be responsible for transit insurance. Such insurance shall provide coverage during loading the Equipment on any collecting transport and shall include Seller as loss payee.

Transit Insurance. In respect of all items to be transported by the CONTRACTOR to the SITE of WORK, the cost of transit insurance should be borne by the CONTRACTOR and the quoted price shall be inclusive of this cost.
Transit Insurance a) Transit Insurance will be covered by BHEL under its open Insurance Policy. Seller shall inform dispatch particulars (Purchase Order, RR /GR, Invoice value etc.) to "Finance department (Store bill Section), BHEL Ranipur, Haridwar (Uttarakhand-India) with value of consignment to the Purchaser within 07 days of dispatch for BHEL to arrange insurance coverage in its policy. Failure on the part of seller to inform dispatch particulars will make him liable to pay for any transit damages / losses suffered by the Purchaser. b) If Quoted Prices are inclusive of transit insurance, no weightage shall be given while evaluating the bids for Cost of Insurance, being in BHEL Scope.
Transit Insurance. In case insurance is not included in Seller's scope Seller must furnish details such as reference, Lorry Receipt, Note No., nature of packing, number of cases, gross weight net weight, train carrying the goods, value of the goods dispatched etc. immediately on dispatch to Buyer’s office to take up insurance in case of goods sent by Regd. Post, the Regd. Post parcel No. should be furnished to the Buyer with a packing slip when action will be taken to insure the goods. This procedure will be adopted unless specially advised by the Buyer to the contrary.
Transit Insurance a) Transit insurance of the consignment under transportation by the Transporter will be responsibility of BHEL/Consignee as the case may be and Transport Carrier shall ensure the insurance coverage and mark in the Lorry Way Bill. However, Transporter will be responsible for any external damages as per Carriage by Road Act 2007. b) The Contract as entered into between BHEL and the Transporter(s) shall in no way nullify, reduce, mitigate or absolve the parties of any responsibility, obligation or liability that may devolve upon them under the Carriage by Road Act 2007 as amended up to date. c) Position as above shall not absolve the Transporter of his responsibility for safe and proper transportation of the goods to the proper destination or his liability to compensate for the damage/ shortage / loss in respect of the consignments transported by him. d) The consignments should be delivered in sound / good condition. Transporters will obtain on GR the shortage / damages (Excluding manufacturing defects viz. white spot, black spot, white line) clearly [No overwriting or cutting] in specific numbers [Packages in case of packed condition and Items in case of unpacked condition] and not in general terms from the consignee. In case of overwriting or cutting freight bills shall be settled after receipt of MRC from customer and damages / shortages recorded in MRC shall be final. e) The Transporter’s consignment note (LR) shall be acceptable to insurance company. In addition, the Transporter shall get ‘LEGAL LIABILITY’ from Insurance Company for Insurance Cover.

Transit Insurance. 18.1 ISRPL shall take a transit insurance cover as may be required giving full cover against all risks during the transportation Agreement, except for damage caused due to Willful misconduct, Ordinary leakage, loss, Default of Truck owners, Loss damage or expense arising from the use of any weapon of war. In the event of loss/damage/pilferage of goods due to these, Service Provider shall be liable to make good the losses/damages. However, if the Insurance agency rejects the claim due to any reason whatsoever; the claim amount will be debited to Carrier. 18.2 The CARRIER shall take a comprehensive insurance policy from an established Insurance Company for each vehicle/container and the crew and keep such policy in force at all times to cover all risks of whatever nature inclusive of accident/death of crew or any damage caused by the vehicles/containers to ISRPL’s/ ISRPL’s customers / ISRPL’s associates property. The CARRIER will produce for the perusal of ISRPL the original Insurance Policy and proof of payment of all Insurance Premium and charges in respect thereof as and when demanded by ISRPL. 18.3 In case of any loss due to / damage / contamination / tampering / pilferage / water seepage of the bags during loading / unloading/ transportation upto 0.5% of Invoice Value per consignment will be recovered from the CARRIERS bills based on claim by the Consignee. In cases, where the losses on account of such damages is in excess of above limit, the deduction would be as per assessment of the Insurance Surveyor and the CARRIERS will be reimbursed of the deduction to the extent of compensation recovered from the insurance companies The CARRIER will be responsible for providing all necessary documents and taking all necessary actions as may be required under the policy for lodging of claims.

Transit Insurance. Contractor shall maintain "all risk" insurance, on a replacement cost basis covering loss or damage to property (for which it has title and/or risk of loss) which will become a final part of the Project, during its off-Project site transit and while stored or worked upon away from the Project. Owner shall be included as a loss payee under such policy as its interests may appear. Said insurance shall have a self-insured retention or deductible.
