Common use of Equity Hire Clause in Contracts

Equity Hire. a) The Employer and the Union believe that every person has the right of equal opportunity based upon bona fide qualifications in respect of his or her trade, occupation or employment, or in respect of an intended occupation, employment, advancement or promotion, and the race, religion, colour, age, marital status, sexual orientation, ancestry, place of origin, union membership, or political belief of any person or class or group of persons shall not constitute reasonable cause for harm or punishment.
