PRE-JOB CONFERENCE a) The Employer shall notify the union that a project has been awarded to the Employer following the award. Prior to the start of each project, a pre-job conference shall be held to determine all site-specific issues as outlined in the Agreement. This conference may be conducted via telephone, through a scheduled meeting or by some other practical means as agreed to by the parties.
b) A copy of the pre-job conference report shall be provided to the Employer, the Union and the Job Xxxxxxx (s). A copy shall also be posted on the bulletin board(s) at the jobsite.
PRE-JOB CONFERENCE. If the Union or the Employer elects a pre- job conference prior to commencement of work, it shall be held. At the pre-job conference, the Employer shall advise the Union of its requirements as to the workmen required in the respective classification, the probable starting date, duration of the job and working schedules.
PRE-JOB CONFERENCE. At the request of the Union or the Employer, a pre-job conference will be scheduled.
PRE-JOB CONFERENCE. The Employer shall arrange a pre-job conference within a reasonable time period after the award and before the start of any construction project over one million ($1,000,000) dollars. A pre-job conference can be held telephonically or in person. Information covered in the pre-job conference should include, but not be limited to, project scheduling, duration, manpower and skill requirements, conditions, subcontractors, and pay scales.
PRE-JOB CONFERENCE. 17.1 Each C/S/E/D will conduct a pre-job conference with the appropriate affected Union(s) and the Council prior to commencing work. The C/S/E/D shall notify the Council ten (10) days in advance of all such conferences. Subcontractors of all tiers will be advised in advance of all such conferences and shall participate. All work assignments should be disclosed by the C/S/E/D at a pre-job conference held in accordance with industry practice. Should a Union dispute a work assignment which has been disclosed and discussed at the pre-job meeting with the Union Representative present, it shall proceed to file a claim with the Plan pursuant to Article XII of this Agreement. Should there be any formal jurisdictional dispute raised, the Prime Contractor shall be promptly notified. If the C/S/E/D intends to change the work assignment after the pre-job conference or to make an assignment of work not previously known, the C/S/E/D must notify the appropriate affected craft union(s) prior to the commencement of work. If any Union has a dispute over such changed or newly discovered assignment, such Union shall proceed to file a claim with the Plan pursuant to Article XII of this Agreement.
PRE-JOB CONFERENCE. 17.01 The Employer agrees to notify the Ontario Provincial District Council and the Local Union of any contracts awarded and expected to last more than three (3) weeks and shall, in such notice, describe the location and nature of the proposed work and probable date of com- mencement of such work, in order that a pre-job conference can be held, if necessary, before the start of the job.
17.02 It shall be the purpose of the pre-job conference to agree to such matters as employment requirements, mobility of and the number of key men, experienced and capable Union members, probable duration of the job and any other matters related to the job. Master Portion - Utility Agreement
PRE-JOB CONFERENCE. Section 1. Upon written request by either Party, a pre-job conference will be held prior to the time the Employees of such Employer begin work on the project.
Section 2. A written request for a pre-job conference sent by either Party shall be sent by certified mail. If either Party refuses to honor the request for a pre-job conference within five (5) working days from receipt of requested pre-job conference or does not abide by a previously agreed and signed pre-job conference or in the event a pre-job is not mutually agreed to and signed by both Parties upon request, the Local Union has the right to picket, strike and/or withhold Employees. However, no picketing, striking, withdrawal or withholding of Employees will occur until the State of Indiana District Council has had an opportunity to investigate said violation.
Section 3. Likewise, it shall not be in violation of this Agreement for an Employer to commence work without such requested pre-job conference, if the Union fails to meet for a pre-job conference on a date prior to that scheduled by the Employer for the commencement of work.
PRE-JOB CONFERENCE. It is required that a pre-job conference be held not later than fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the start of work by each Contractor for the Project in accordance with the procedure described in Article 16.
PRE-JOB CONFERENCE. Section 1. Upon written request by either Party, a mandatory pre-job conference will be held prior to the time the Employees of such Employer begin work on the project.
Section 2. A written request for a mandatory pre-job conference sent by the Local Union to an Employer shall be sent by certified mail. If the Employer refuses to honor the request for a pre- job conference or does not abide by an agreement reached at the pre-job conference on that job, the Local Union has the right to picket, strike and/or withhold Employees. These pre-job agreements shall be a part of this Agreement and shall be enforceable under the contractual grievance procedure. However, no picketing, striking, withdrawal or withholding of Employees will occur until the State of Indiana District Council has had an opportunity to investigate said violation. Pre-job conferences may be done in person, over the phone, or electronically. This Article is exempt from the No Strike Clause – Article XXXVII.
Section 3. Likewise, it shall not be in violation of this Agreement for an Employer to commence work without such requested mandatory pre-job conference, if the Union fails to meet for a mandatory pre-job conference on a date prior to that scheduled by the Employer for the commencement of work.
PRE-JOB CONFERENCE. Section 15.1 Each Contractor is required to conduct a pre-job conference with the Unions not less than six (6) working days prior to commencing work on each Covered Project. The purpose of the conference will be to, among other things, convey craft manpower needs, the schedule of work for the Covered Project, the Covered Project’s rules, and propose Union work assignments.
Section 15.2 The Project Labor Coordinator may work with the Prime Contractor and Councils to facilitate the scheduling of all pre-job conferences, but ensuring each Contractor conducts a pre-job conference in accordance with this PLA is the responsibility of the Prime Contractor.
Section 15.3 All work assignments shall be disclosed by each Contractor at the pre-job conference. Should there be Covered Work that was not previously assigned at a pre-job conference, or additional Covered Work be added to the scope of the Covered Project, the Contractor(s) performing such work will conduct a separate pre-job conference.
Section 15.4 Any Union in disagreement with a proposed assignment shall notify the affected Contractor of its position in writing, with a copy sent to the Project Labor Coordinator, within three (3) working days after the pre-job conference occurred. Within three (3) working days after the period allowed for Union notices of disagreement with the Contractor’s proposed assignments, but prior to the commencement of any work, the Contractor shall make final assignments in writing with copies sent to the Project Labor Coordinator and relevant Council.
Section 15.5 A Contractor’s failure to conduct a pre-job conference in accordance with this PLA is considered a breach of contract, and any affected Union may pursue a grievance under Article 10 of this PLA to seek a remedy for such a violation. Provided, however, if the Contractor has conducted a pre-job conference in accordance with this PLA, that Contractor is not required to participate in any additional pre-job conferences or mark-up meetings related to the original scope(s) of work assigned at the pre-job conference.
Section 15.6 The Project Labor Coordinator may attend and facilitate each pre-job conference. At each pre-job conference, the Project Labor Coordinator shall address the programs, goals and outcomes related to Local Worker and Transitional Worker employment, as well as the progress of implementing the CCPP.
