ESADE Business and Law School (ESADE. ESADE is part of multiple initiatives to promote equality and equal opportunities for men and women. In this sense, ESADE is part of the Global Compact initiative that promotes the implementation of 10 universally accepted principles to promote corporate social responsibility in different areas; ESADE is member of the platform HeForShe, a solidarity initiative of the UN to promote gender equality; ESADE is also promoting the WISE initiative (Women Innovators for Social Business in Europe), a training and development program aimed at entrepreneur women in Europe that wish to start up a business with social impact; and the training program PROMOCIONA, which objective is to increase the presence of female corporate directors. ESADE does not currently have a Gender Equality Plan, but is in the initial phase of developing such plan. Last year, external experts carried out an exploratory assessment of the current GE situation at ESADE. This assessment regarding the situation of men and women in ESADE was developed considering three types of professional profiles existent in the institution: 1) professor, 2) administration and services staff and 3) research staff. It led to the identification of seven areas of action: selection process, promotion process, training, retribution, work-life balance, prevention against sexual and gender harassment and communication and corporate language. Some of the main conclusions of this exploratory assessment are listed below: Selection process: the selection processes do not bear any discrimination between men and women. Nevertheless, the available quantitative data shows a lower presence of women at the level of BSc (34%), MSc (32%), PhD (40%) and Executive Education programs (21%). The presence of women regarding professors (teaching and research staff) is 33%. As a result, an aspect that would deserve more attention is the presence of women at the level of BSc, MSc, PhD and Executive Education programs and among teaching and research staff. Promotion process: even though in aggregated terms there is a high presence of women in decision making positions at ESADE (49.39%), the percentage is significantly lower regarding highest management positions (15.4%) or academic decision-making positions (33.33% of ESADE’s Deans, Vice-Deans and Department Directors are women).   • Information Technologies Cooperation 1. The aims of cooperation in Information Technologies sectors, carried out in the mutual interest of the Parties and in compliance with their policies, will be: (a) to focus on cooperative activities towards information technology areas where mutual and complementary interests exists; and (b) to build on existing agreements and arrangements already in place between the Parties. 2. Information Technologies cooperation may include, but not be limited to: (a) scientific and technical cooperation for the Software Industry of the Parties and encouraging cooperation in software development for populations with specific needs; (b) facilitate the cooperation on academic, industrial and entrepreneurial networks in the area of Information Technology; (c) encouraging exchange of experience on management and research and development for Information Technology Parks; (d) research and development on Information Technology products and services, integrating television, multimedia, and cellular telephones; and (e) encouraging exchange of experience for research and development in networks and telecommunications.

  • Information Technology Accessibility Standards Any information technology related products or services purchased, used or maintained through this Grant must be compatible with the principles and goals contained in the Electronic and Information Technology Accessibility Standards adopted by the Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board under Section 508 of the federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 U.S.C. §794d), as amended.   • Information Systems The Official Agency in conjunction with the Authority will meet the relevant requirements of Articles 131 to 136 of Regulation (EU) 2017/625 and Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/1715 as appropriate to the Official Agency. The Official Agency shall record appropriate data in the Official Agency Premises Inspection database (OAPI), which will be further developed over the life of the contract. Data should be entered into the database on an ongoing basis but shall be entered within one month of the activity taking place, unless otherwise agreed with the Authority.

  • Permitted Uses and Disclosure by Business Associate (1) General Use and Disclosure Provisions Except as otherwise limited in this Section of the Contract, Business Associate may use or disclose PHI to perform functions, activities, or services for, or on behalf of, Covered Entity as specified in this Contract, provided that such use or disclosure would not violate the HIPAA Standards if done by Covered Entity or the minimum necessary policies and procedures of the Covered Entity.

  • SERVICE MONITORING, ANALYSES AND ORACLE SOFTWARE 11.1 We continuously monitor the Services to facilitate Oracle’s operation of the Services; to help resolve Your service requests; to detect and address threats to the functionality, security, integrity, and availability of the Services as well as any content, data, or applications in the Services; and to detect and address illegal acts or violations of the Acceptable Use Policy. Oracle monitoring tools do not collect or store any of Your Content residing in the Services, except as needed for such purposes. Oracle does not monitor, and does not address issues with, non-Oracle software provided by You or any of Your Users that is stored in, or run on or through, the Services. Information collected by Oracle monitoring tools (excluding Your Content) may also be used to assist in managing Oracle’s product and service portfolio, to help Oracle address deficiencies in its product and service offerings, and for license management purposes.

  • Permitted Uses and Disclosures by Business Associate 1. Business Associate may only use or disclose protected health information as necessary to perform the services as outlined in the underlying agreement.

  • OBLIGATIONS AND ACTIVITIES OF CONTRACTOR AS BUSINESS ASSOCIATE 1. Contractor agrees not to use or further disclose PHI County discloses to Contractor other than as permitted or required by this Business Associate Contract or as required by law.

  • Permitted Uses and Disclosures of Phi by Business Associate Except as otherwise indicated in this Agreement, Business Associate may use or disclose PHI, inclusive of de-identified data derived from such PHI, only to perform functions, activities or services specified in this Agreement on behalf of DHCS, provided that such use or disclosure would not violate HIPAA or other applicable laws if done by DHCS.
