Common use of Examination of Files Clause in Contracts

Examination of Files. An employee or his/her Local No. 1 representative shall have the right at any reasonable time to examine and/or obtain copies of any material from the employee's personnel file with the exception of material that includes ratings, reports, or records which were obtained prior to the employment of the employee involved.

Examination of Files. In no case shall unsubstantiated derogatory material be placed in the Personnel file.
