Common use of Exceptions to Definition Clause in Contracts

Exceptions to Definition. The call time occurrence provision does not apply to 1) additional hours assigned to the end of an employee’s shift, before their regular shift ends, or 2) additional hours of work assigned in advance. Additionally, the call time rate will not apply to any hours an employee works in excess of 40 hours in a week. Hours worked in excess of 40 hours a week will be compensated in accordance with Article 8 Overtime.
