If the employee is principally employed in an instructional capacity and the intermittent or reduced leave would extend or is within three to five weeks before the end of the academic term, the District may require that employee to take leave of a particular duration or transfer to an equal position that better accommodates the leave. 2. In the event that the District employs spouses, the total leave between both cannot exceed twelve weeks in any twelve- month period.
