Common use of EXHAUSTION OF SALARY CONTINUANCE Clause in Contracts

EXHAUSTION OF SALARY CONTINUANCE. 1. If the unit employee exhausts such salary continuance as set forth above, or is denied extension of salary continuance, he/she may elect to utilize accumulated sick leave or vacation leave accruals which, when added to temporary disability payments and earnings from other employment, will equal his/her normal base salary, subject to normal deductions. 2. When a unit employee's temporary disability payments stop, and he/she is still unable to return to work, he/she may elect to utilize accumulated sick leave or vacation leave accruals equal to his/her normal base salary, subject to normal deductions.
