Experience. A minimum of 10 years of IT and business industry work experience, with at least 3 years of leadership experience in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders. Experience in the areas such as network, database administration, computer operations and production support. Senior level management in data center operations and management functions. Has overall responsibility for department decisions and management. Provides strategic direction, coaches and mentors more junior management staff. Accountable for IT functional/departmental results. Frequently reports to a Chief Information Officer or IT Chief Operating Officer. Responsible for the activities in the areas of production, data control, operations, and operations support. Develops and implements standards, procedures and processes for the operations group. Plans and manages the support of new technologies, data center performance and reliability. Defines and negotiates service level agreements. Oversees and coordinates the daily activities of the operations center. Provides input and recommendations regarding business continuance issues and improvements to the operations of systems and processes supported.
