Teaching Experience a. In-state public school teaching experience: Credit shall be given for each year of full-time public school teaching service earned in the state of Florida which is verified by previous employer(s). Re-employed retirees are exempt from this provision. Experience credit shall be reviewed and pay shall be based on what similar teachers with the same amount of experience credit are compensated. For 2014-2015, newly hired teachers who worked at another Florida school district or charter school during the 2013-2014 school year will receive a one-time recruitment bonus, equivalent to half of the respective 2014-2015 salary increase amounts (COLA plus performance) based on their officially documented 2013-2014 summative evaluation rating. Documentation consisting of print screens of the evaluation rating must be provided to Human Resources during the teacher’s first calendar year. Teachers who did work at OCPS during the 2013-14 school year and received a final evaluation rating, are ineligible for this bonus and will return to OCPS at their previous salary plus 2014-2015 increase (COLA plus performance).
b. Out of state public school teaching experience: Instructional personnel hired from outside of the state of Florida shall receive credit for each year of full-time public school teaching which is verified by the previous employer. Experience credit shall be reviewed and pay shall be based on what similar teachers with the same amount of experience credit are compensated.
c. Instructional personnel hired from private schools (or school systems, including college) shall receive credit for each year of full time teaching. Teaching experience may be added to all prior public school experience credit. Experience credit shall be reviewed and pay shall be based on what similar teachers with the same amount of experience credit are compensated.
d. Instructional personnel shall provide verification of effective performance for all years of experience to the Human Resources Department.
e. Paid holidays shall be counted in computations which apply to credit for teaching.
f. Half-time: Effective July 1, 2011, half-time teaching shall be counted year for year for salary credit. Half-time teaching prior to July 1, 2011 will continue to be combined so two one-half years equals one year of experience. Half-time experience shall continue to count as one-half of full-time experience for the purpose of calculating seniority.

Teaching Experience. Teaching experience will be credited on a year-for-year basis for each full-time teaching year or equivalent. Acceptable teaching experience includes pre-college, college, and university teaching.
Teaching Experience a) Step 1: Less than 1 year of teaching experience.
b) Step 2: 1 but less than 3 years of teaching experience.
c) Step 3: Over 3 years teaching experience. For the purposes of A1.08(3), teaching experience is the same as outlined in A3.01(1) (a) through (d).
Teaching Experience. An equivalent of one (1) step for each year of teaching experience beyond two (2) in an approved university, university-college, college, technical institution, or vocational school or, in the case of high school related instruction in vocational, commercial, remedial and upgrading subjects. All directly relevant teaching experience in the public school system will receive full credit. Teaching experience less than three (3) years will be added to any industry experience and be subject to the four (4) year minimum experience and the two (2) years for one (1) increment. Teaching non-credit courses is not included.
Teaching Experience. To provide the resident with experience in formal and informal teaching, the resident will be required to: * Participate in the department's ongoing staff development program. (1hr CE presentation) * Assist in the training and precepting of APPE/IPPE students while on rotation.
Teaching Experience. A. Previous teaching experience shall be evaluated by the Superintendent and the Board of Trustees. Service credit for teachers entering the Havre School District shall be based on full value for the first ten (10) years of experience which have been evaluated and accepted (10 steps).
B. Not less than 135 paid days of employment in one (1) school year shall be counted as a full teaching year for salary schedule purposes unless authorized by the Board of Trustees.
C. An official statement of years of service and an official transcript of credits earned must be filed with the Personnel Office within sixty (60) days of the first day of service.
Teaching Experience. (a) The term "teaching experience" where used in this Agreement unless the context expressly provides otherwise, shall mean the aggregate of:
(i) Years of teaching experience before the effective date of the individual teacher's contract with the Division referred to in Article 5 of this Agreement, and
(ii) Years of teaching experience as a member of the staff of the Division from the effective date of the individual teacher's contract until the date the teacher's employment is terminated except as otherwise provided herein, and
(iii) Years of teaching experience, recognized by Manitoba Education and Advanced Learning while on leave of absence from the Division.
(b) The following shall be included in determining the aggregate number of years and fraction of years of teaching experience before the effective date of the individual teacher's contract with the Division:
(i) The years and fraction of years of teaching experience as determined by Manitoba Education and Advanced Learning; and
(ii) The periods of Sabbatical Leave from the Winnipeg Staff; and
(iii) For those teachers who teach Vocational Industrial Education, the length of work experience after qualification in the trade for a period of up to five (5) years for teachers holding a certificate in Vocational Industrial Education or a Letter of Authority for vocational industrial subjects.
(iv) For those teachers who teach Vocational Industrial Education, in non-trade areas, a period of up to three (3) years shall be recognized for related experience achieved by the teacher after becoming qualified in the area in which they are employed by virtue of having served a recognized apprenticeship or having completed recognized training acceptable to the Division. In coming to a conclusion that related experience and acceptable training will or will not be recognized the Division shall take into account all relevant factors and shall act reasonably and fairly having regard to all circumstances made known by the teacher prior to the Division determining salary entitlement.
(c) The following provisions shall apply in determining the aggregate number of years and fraction of years of teaching experience after the effective date of the individual teacher's contract with the Division:
(i) A year of teaching experience on the Winnipeg Staff which shall include teaching experience recognized by Manitoba Education and Advanced Learning (including Maternity Leave as recognized by the Department) for teaching experienc...
Teaching Experience. 13.1 The total teaching experience accumulated by a member and recognized by the Board for placement on the grid on July 1, 1998 shall not be subject to revision and shall be the basis for further accumulation of teaching experience for grid purposes in subsequent years.
13.2 Full-time teaching experience as a certified teacher in or outside of Ontario in secondary or elementary schools will be recognized at a one-to-one ratio to the end of June of the previous school year in accordance with the salary schedule. It is the member’s responsibility to supply necessary documentation to the satisfaction of the Board.
13.3 For members hired effective after January 7, 1999, part-year or occasional teaching experience as a certified teacher with an Ontario School Board will be recognized by the Board. An allowance for part-year teaching experience will be paid giving salary credit as 1/10 of a year’s experience for each twenty days of proven teaching experience up to the end of June of the previous school year. If an Occasional Teacher completes a year Long Term Occasional position, it is recognized as a full year of experience credit. Proof of such teaching experience must be certified by the Board with which the experience was gained and be submitted in a manner acceptable to the Algoma District School Board.
13.4 Members covered by this collective agreement shall have part time teaching experience which occurs after September 1,1998 and which is with the Algoma District School Board recognized for placement on the salary grid at a rate of
13.5 The effective date for receipt of experience allowances shall be the beginning of the school year except as provided below: In the event a new member fails to provide verification of experience by January 31st inclusive, or within five (5) months of the date of appointment should it be later than the beginning of the school year, any salary adjustment resulting from verification of experience within that school year shall be effective in the month following such certification.
13.6 Recognition of experience shall not have the effect of a total salary for any member that would xxxxxx the maximum annual salary for the appropriate category level or grid.
Teaching Experience. An employee on approved leave without pay who has taught in a foreign country or in a school within the United States may be granted one increment increase on the salary schedule upon return to duty following the year of leave after such experience has been evaluated and approved by the administrative staff.
