Experienced Teachers: New to the District. In the event funds are available, Experienced Teachers: New to the District will be supported, as possible, using a tiered approach determined by the WCSD Equity Rubric whereby teachers at the schools with the greatest needs, as evidenced by data, will receive mentoring support for as many teachers/schools as possible as funding permits. ✓ Mentors will receive $225.00 for each Experienced Teacher: New to the District they support. ✓ Mentors will support no more than 5 Experienced Teachers: New to the District concurrently. ✓ New teachers entering the district after January 31st will join the following year’s cohort. ✓ Mentors providing service for a semester or less will be compensated at $112.50 per Experienced Teacher: New to the District. ✓ Participation in the program shall be up to the teacher, New to the District.
