In-Service Sample Clauses

In-Service. When a nurse attends any in-service programme during her/his regularly scheduled working hours, she/he shall suffer no loss of pay. When a nurse is unable to do so, and attends the in-service programme outside her/his regularly scheduled hours, she/he shall be paid for all time attendance at her/his straight time rate of pay. If attendance is mandatory all applicable premiums will apply.
In-Service. A leave of absence with pay, not charged against the employee's sick leave, may be granted for in-service activities, attending conferences, conventions, workshops, and seminars, when such attendance is approved by the Board.
In-Service. An in-service day is a day set aside for teachers' participation in activities cooperatively planned by staff and administratively approved with the purpose of the activities being the improvement of the educational program.
In-ServiceA committee of four teachers, one from each building level in each attendance center shall form the district’s Professional Development Council (PDC). The PDC shall work with the administrative team to help develop and implement decisions concerning teacher in-service. In-service should be geared toward the needs of the district as defined in the school improvement plan and the district staff development plan. The PDC shall oversee and administer the district’s staff development plan.
In-Service. 22.01 Employees who, with the prior approval of their Supervisor, attend an in-service shall not suffer a loss of pay for such attendance. 22.02 An Employee who is required by the Employer to attend a training course, seminar, or staff or committee meeting shall be compensated as hours worked or shall be allowed compensatory time off in lieu, by mutual agreement between the Employer and Employee. 22.03 No Employee shall be required by the Employer to complete education modules in a self-study format without compensation as specified in clause 22.02. 22.04 The provisions of Clause 22.03 shall not apply to self-study modules, which are not required by the Employer.
In-Service. The Employer agrees to release up to ten (10) office professionals each year to attend in-service/seminars in which job skills will be enriched. Total release time shall not exceed ten (10) days. Mutual agreement must be reached by the Employer and the Association on the individuals proposed to attend and the specific in-service/seminar. The Employer agrees to provide up to a total of $1,500.00 reimbursement for program registration fees and required materials.
In-ServiceThe Employer agrees to provide all employees with periodic in-service training on the following topics: A) Work injuries B) Stress management C) Proper body mechanics D) Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
In-Service. 21.1 The Employer agrees with the principle of continuing in-service education and agrees to provide all new employees with a suitable orientation course. The Employer will, as required, provide adequate continuing education courses which will be updated as necessary.
In-Service. ‌ 9.1 A professional development program shall be planned and made available to teachers. Participation of in-service activities shall be voluntary with the exception of school improvement projects that are approved by the school faculty and administration and held during the normal workday. 9.2 Where appropriate teachers participating in professional development may receive stipends, compensatory time, or salary in addition to in-service points. 9.3 The WCEA may provide professional development opportunities to the teachers of Xxxxxx County.
In-Service. At least three (3) years in the grade of Senior Administrative Assistant; • Satisfactory staff performance appraisal report; • Must pass a competitive selection interview conducted by the Governing Council in collaboration with the Public Services Commission.
