Common use of Extended Medical Benefit (EMB) Accrual Clause in Contracts

Extended Medical Benefit (EMB) Accrual. As provided and defined in the Extended Medical Benefit (EMB) shall accrue according to the following schedule: Days Per Year Hours Per Year Hours Per 80 hour Pay Period 8 64 2.4616 Any officer who is newly hired with the City of Grand Rapids after January 1, 2018 will receive 84 hours of EMB time placed into his/her EMB bank at the time of hire. If the City is planning to make a substantial change to t Time Off policy, the City will notify the Union of such changes prior to any Council action.
