Common use of Extension of Time Periods Clause in Contracts

Extension of Time Periods. 12.1. The Supplier may, in respect of any time period contemplated in this Agreement, at any time prior to the expiry of such time period, submit a formal request for an extension of such time period. 12.2. All requests as provided for in clause 12.1 must be accompanied by a written motivation detailing the circumstances in which the extension is sought and which must include an indication of the extent of the extension required. 12.3. SA-IAS will, upon receipt of a request for an extension, evaluate same and in its sole discretion grant or refuse such extension, the granting or refusal thereof to be communicated in writing to the Supplier within a reasonable time after receipt of the request. 12.4. The Parties may by mutual agreement recorded in writing extend any time period set out in this Agreement, including but not limited to those provided for in clause 11 (“Dispute Resolution”).
