Common use of Extension of Time Periods Clause in Contracts

Extension of Time Periods. The time periods for exercises of certain rights under Sections 2, 7 and 8 shall be extended (but in no event by more than six months): (a) to the extent necessary to obtain all regulatory approvals for the exercise of such rights, and for the expiration of all statutory waiting periods; and (b) to the extent necessary to avoid any liability under Section 16(b) of the Exchange Act by reason of such exercise.
