External Lighting. The Owner shall erect exterior lighting on the subject lands as depicted in the Site Plan and/or the Site Services Plan all in accordance with the Engineering Data. The Owner shall not erect any exterior lighting on the subject lands, other than that provided for in the Engineering Data or depicted in the Site Plan, unless the consent therefor is first had and obtained from the Municipality. The Owner further agrees that all lighting of the said lands shall be oriented and its intensity so controlled as to prevent glare on adjacent roadways and residential properties. Should the Municipality, in its sole discretion determine that the lighting of the said lands has an adverse impact on the adjacent roadways or residential properties, then the Owner shall take all necessary measures to correct the adverse impact to the satisfaction of the Municipality. Measures to reduce the impact may include but shall not be limited to, the relocation of the lighting fixtures, the shielding of the lighting fixtures, the replacement of the lighting fixtures, replacing the lamps with lamps of lower intensity, reducing the time period when the lighting is activated or the removal of the lighting fixture.

External Lighting. A. Provide external lighting on all LRVs in compliance with the requirements of the Traffic Safety Act (Alberta) and the Vehicle Equipment Regulations (Alberta), applicable to operation of the LRVs on the roadway, tunnels, elevated guideways and segregated alignments of the System. The LRV external lighting requirements include the following: 1. headlights, with high and low beam functions; 2. side lights; 3. tail lights; 4. brake lights; 5. rear fog lights; 6. hazard lights; 7. outline marker lights; 8. individual direction indicator lights at each end of the LRV and also equally spaced along each side such that they are visible to other road users; 9. side marker lights equally spaced (at a maximum spacing of 10m) along each side of the LRV such that they are visible to other road users. Note that side marker lights may also be combined with direction indicator lights as specified in 7-1.20A.8 [External Lighting]; and 10. reflectors, along each side of the LRV, which are mounted 1m above road level. Note that reflectors may also be combined with direction indicator lights as specified in 7-1.20A.8 [External Lighting]. B. External lighting on each LRV shall auto-switch as required for bi-directional operation. C. The headlights, direction indicator lights (not flashing), tail lights and outline marker lights shall remain on at all times whenever a Driver’s Cab within the Train is switched on and active. D. When direction indicator lights on one side on an LRV are activated/flashing to indicate a turning manoeuvre, the direction indicator lights on the other side of the LRV shall remain illuminated, i.e. not flashing. E. The hazard warning lights shall remain operable at all times, including with an Active Driver’s Cab, with the control key switch in the ‘off’ position, or with the control key removed. F. The tail lights shall remain on at all times whenever a Train is stationary, for any reason, on the Mainline Track including with an Active Driver’s Cab, with the control key switch in the ‘off’ position, or with the control key removed. G. External lighting shall be provided by LEDs.
External Lighting. External lighting must be positioned with care not to impact on surrounding properties. No floodlights may be used. Eskom guidelines on efficient energy use are to be adhered to. (Annexure C)
External Lighting. Almost all external areas are City Walkway and are to be illuminated in accordance with the requirements of the Highways Agreement. The external lighting scheme includes as follows: o Fittings mounted on some of the masonry piers of the building. o Fully recessed uplighters set within the tree planters. o Low level brick lights to illuminate steps and ramps. o Fully recessed uplighters set within the paving to illuminate the face of the restaurant; fed from the restaurant electrical supply. Subject to the approval of Corporation of London. The electrical supplies for lighting to the City Walkway are taken direct from London Electricity street lighting circuits. They will be switched in conjunction with surrounding street lighting. The distribution boards will be in locations agreed with Corporation of London; one in the colonnade area and the other at the top of the ramp. In both cases they are directly accessible from outside. Once the external lighting has been taken over in accordance with the provisions of the Highways Agreements it will be maintained by Corporation of London. The colonnade does not form part of the City Walkway and the lighting to the soffit is connected to supplies within the building and controlled by the occupier. 344

(b) All external lighting is to be sympathetic to the style and period of the buildings and is to utilise low voltage wiring and indirect light sources. (c) The pavement lights may be utilised for incorporation of low voltage external lighting.
External Lighting. 1. Supply install test and commission external lighting poles along the access road to the xxxx. 2. Supply install test and commission external lighting poles along the safe walkway for the workers to access the wear. 3. Supply install test and commission external lighting poles around the new process structures such as the Distribution Chamber, Coagulation Xxxxxxxx, Flocculation Xxxxxxxx, Settling Tanks and other needed locations. 4. Contractor shall prepare external lighting design for the above-mentioned locations and roads using 7 meters height lighting poles with 100watt LED luminaire. The spacing between lighting poles shall be 25 meters. 5. Supply install test and commission external lighting control panel (ELCP) including main MCCB incomer, number of outgoing MCCBs with rating not less 25 Amp., contactor, photocell, and timer with 3-way selector switch (Manual, Off, Automatic). Each circuit shall serve 10 lighting poles as maximum. 6. The ELCP shall be supplied by power from the main distribution board using 4x16 mm2 CU/XLPE/PVC cable inside 50 mm UPVC conduit. 7. Supply install test and commission power cables with size not less than 4x16 mm2 CU/XLPE/SWA/PVC from the ELCP and poles and between the lighting poles.
External Lighting. The external lighting is provided by column mounted luminaires with photocells and time clock control. Lighting levels will be 10 lux average, 5 lux minimum. The main entrance area roof overhang will have soffit lighting. The courtyard frontage landscaped area will have feature lighting.
